North and South Carolina POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEES
North Carolina Political Action Committee: NC MPAC, Inc.
What is NC MPAC, Inc.?
The North Carolina Merchants Political Action Committee, Inc. (NC MPAC, Inc.) is registered with the North Carolina State Board of Elections as a qualified bipartisan political action committee. NC MPAC, Inc. seeks to make campaign contributions to candidates for the North Carolina General Assembly who have demonstrated an understanding for and support of retail issues.
How is NC MPAC, Inc. Funded?
North Carolina law prohibits political action committees from receiving contributions from corporations. NC MPAC, Inc. can accept personal checks, personal credit card charges and cash (cash may be accepted as long as an individual's daily contribution does not exceed $50.) Individuals may contribute up to $4,000 per election cycle.
What are the benefits to supporting NC MPAC, Inc.?
It is vitally important to the retail industry that business-friendly candidates be elected to the North Carolina General Assembly and Council of State offices. The cost to run a campaign has increased significantly in the past few years due to North Carolina becoming a two-party state and the fact that more expensive media outlets are now utilized in campaigns. The more contributions made to NC MPAC, Inc. the more the retail industry can help elect business-friendly people to office.

You're supporting CFIC when you make a contribution to NC MPAC, Inc.!
Our staff works hard to be sure that the interests of the food retailer are presented to members of the North Carolina General Assembly. During each legislative session your CFIC lobby team does just that – walking the halls of the North Carolina General Assembly daily, representing the interests of food retailers.
CFIC works hard to pass bills that will help your bottom line and works just as hard to defeat bills that will place onerous burdens on the way you do business each day. This task is made easier when legislators understand the important role the food industry plays in the success of North Carolina.
We hope that you will consider making a contribution to NC MPAC, Inc.!
