WHY JOIN?
The Carolinas Food Industry Council (CFIC) represents all the players in the food distribution chain in both North and South Carolina. Now under new administrative management, there will be a renewed focus on legislative and regulatory issues that impact the independent and chain grocer.
Our mission is to improve the public image, effectiveness and profitability of companies in the food industry. Below we have listed some of the reasons why you should be a part of CFIC:
CFIC represents the food industry’s perspective before the legislature in Raleigh and Columbia and works closely with the Washington congressional delegations of both North and South Carolina. Additionally we work with agency and department heads to bring together people and ideas that integrate consumer and retail concerns. We work to ensure that elected officials understand the food industry’s point of view on grocery issues.
First Benefits Insurance -- CFIC members in North Carolina can avail themselves of the competitive rates offered by our mutual insurance company providing workers’ compensation. This insurance company, created by retailers for retailers, provides friendly service and competitive rates for grocery members in North Carolina.
CFIC offers educational seminars, an annual convention , and a twice monthly newsletter to keep members abreast of industry trends and issues.
