DISASTER PREPAREDNESS

E-Mail Communication Checklist:

CFIC respects your privacy. We don’t inundate you with junk mail or frivolous faxes, however, there are times when efficient and timely communication is crucial. Here are some examples of what you can begin to receive via email:

  • Weekly Legislative reports (Friday Fax)

  • Newsletters (The ExpressLine)

  • Disaster Emergency Alerts

  • Local Government Ordinance Watch

  • Legislative Issues

Sign up to receive EITHER the South Carolina, North Carolinaweekly legislative reports or perhaps BOTH!

“The ExpressLine” our eight-page newsletter is mailed twice each month, sign up here if you prefer to receive it electronically.

CFIC staff has secured a “seat at the table” in the Governors Emergency Management “Disaster War Room.” We will be able to alert our members as to exactly where and what is happening on any type of emergency.

If you would like to receive notices from North CarolinaOrdinance Watch, a lists of agenda items for city councils and county commissioners meetings, sign up here. We all know that the state legislation in Raleigh and the congress in Washington frequently propose laws that negatively impact your store operations, but with much greater frequency city and county governments are also proposing local ordinances that can be extremely costly. Don’t read about it after it happens. Sign up to receive these alerts, so that you can stop it from being passed?

Each year the General Assembly introduces legislation on a wide variety of issues that could have a negative impact on your store’s operations; sign up next to that specific topic and receive these alerts at no charge.

Complete the form below and let us know who you would like to designate to receive electronically any of the issue updates and topics listed via email. (Note: You will need to complete each section for each state if you want to receive information from both North and South Carolina.) We’ll create a list of each service and add you or another person (or person s) from your organization that you designate; it could be a different person for each issue to the appropriate list.

We are working hard to make your membership more valuable and exceed your expectations. Please help us help you!
